Lake Superior Beaches

The beaches are all covered with stones. Click on picture to see how close they are. They are more beautiful when wet. In the water it is all covered too with stones.

Click on the picture to see up close. These stones are on 3 beaches we went to .I would pick one up hold it till I found one I liked better. It was great fun.

Crisp Point Lighthouse & Sable Falls.

Crisp Point Lighthouse was one of the four original Lake Superior Life Saving Stations. We drove on a  one lane dirt road over 13 miles to see this. What a peaceful and beautiful place.

This is Sable Falls, 193 steps to the top. I counted them.

It was so  beautiful here with high Sand dunes on the left. This is about half way down the steps.

Lake Superior, Michigan

This is the sand dunes where in 1900 they used to drop the logs down the dunes into Lake Superior to put in boats.

This picture is 1/2 way down and the next picture Dick and I are standing on the ledge here.

If you go the whole way down the dune it takes over 1/2 hour to climb back up and a real challenge. Clark my son and grandson Jared  have done this.

Kitchen Curtains

 I sewed these up for my son's kitchen.  This is the door curtain  to the  patio. The Valance is above his kitchen sink.  It is real short because he loves to look up into his woods and see the deer and squirrels.
