DICK"S BIRTHDAY

What a great birthday.  Eric  brought all these fruits for Dick to enjoy.Elaine brought bacon , Kielbasa, big bag of beef jerky  from  Henry's Meat in Pennsylvania and Clark gave him a Walmart  gift card to go shopping.

  I have December Christmas Trees ready to quilt.  Then Hearts are coming up for February.

This is January Let it Snow  toilet tank runner it took me 5 days to make it.

I have Women of the Bible all blocks together and you are to put 4 patch blocks on for a border.

I have 24   4 patch blocks made so far and many more to make from scraps too.

I took a class from Mary Lou Nuzum on making strip blocks. I choose to make mine 6 1/2 square.

Here are all the ones I have made so far in January 22 done .

Not all sewing projects are glamorous  some times I do mending.A rip below the pocket.

This suit jacket had a hole in the bottom of the inside pocket..It was a challenge to fix the lining on it.

Disappearing Pinwheel Twist Block

I was given 2 -10 inch blocks and sewed around them to make 1/2 square triangles 

to make the pinwheel. The Rittman Stitchers next month will make something out of this. My favorite color pink,. Look forward to what it will be.

QUILTY 365

I just found out about this  and today is the 9th  of January so I am up to date. I  used wonder under to place my circles on the 4 1/2 background and button holed it with my machine. This is fun a great way to use up scraps.Check button on my side bar and join the fun

PLACEMATS

I made 8 place mats with white on white to show off the carnival glass Iris Herring Bone Pattern;  My son has these dishes and wanted to  show them off on a plain place mat

                              The back side I chose gold block pattern to show off these gold dishes.

JANUARY 2016

Happy New Year to you all. Wish you good health and happy stitching for 2016 I have rode my exercise bike 3795 miles and walked 379 miles for the year of 2015. And the best news I did not gain any weight from last year.I also read many  library books. I try to read at least 100 pages a day. I have  enjoyed looking at all your blogs and seeing what you are sewing.
