NABBY'S DOWRY SEW ALONG BLOCK 1

This was a challenge to make with 2 inch half square triangles. The first picture is a close up of it. I have my corners okay and it measures 6 1/2 inches.Starting in July you are to make 162   1/2 square triangles and 46 light
2 inch squares and each Friday a new block will come up to do.So that is a lot of cutting I am using Easy
Angle ruler  and when I sew them together they come out perfect 2 inches. I think when done it is to be
 36 inches.

City Streets Ben Franklin BOM

The streets were in bad shape, there was garbage everywhere and at night were too poorly lit to navigate. Ben convinced the good public of Philadelphia  to pay for street repair, hire a team to collect garbage and to sweep the streets. Ben invented a cleaner lamp for the street lights in 1736 Ben organized the Union Fire Company  the first volunteer fire department in the colonies.  Here are my 4 blocks for this month.

Postage Stamp Block 12

In 1737 Benjamin was made postmaster of Philadelphia. Quite a job for
a printer. He  invented a device to measure how many times the wheel on a mail cart went around  thus seeing how far it had traveled. It lead to faster delivery through out  the land.
