GOODYEAR BLIMP IN AKRON SKIES.

The airship flew over Akron Public Schools, Goodyear's corporate headquarters and LeBron James Family Foundation. It leaves for its new home base in California.This is the last chance to see it in the Akron area skies.Goodyear is replacing its old-style blimps with new semi-rigid, high tech airships identical to Wingfoot one. The Akron tire maker will be flying three of the semi-rigid airships by 2017. Click on picture to see a better close up  view.

MARY MAGDALENE BLOCK 26

Mary Magdalene was the leader of the women'a group and Peter was the leader of the men.        Mary was the first witness to Jesus resurrection. But she did not know him till he spoke to her.

ERIC & FELIPE IN AMSTERDAM

This is the water taxi you take on the Canal Tour.Notice all the bicycles on the bridge.

    Dick and I enjoyed this trip in Amsterdam back in 1999.

THE GARDEN

 We froze 66 cups of corn. Gave corn to our children and neighbors.

The tomatoes are just starting to ripen. The is yellow Hilly Billy ones.

                    These are Russian Tomatoes,               

 These seeds came from  a  Salad Bar, They are great they don't crack like most cherry tomatoes .

These are Ox heart tomatoes. My favorite ones  to can.

The Elderberries really produced a lot this year . Froze 43 cups .

Now when the tomatoes and Lima Beans are done I can get back to sewing.

MONARCH BUTTERFLIES & ZINNAS

I did not know the butterflies like zinnia flowers. They only come with bright sun. When it is cloudy  they  aren't around.

  Aren't they just beautiful?

ERIC'S VACATION OF A LIFETIME.

These  clocks greeted  him at Frankfurt Airport.

Clark my other son has been in this too  and Dick  was there when in the Army and  Dick & I were there on vacation  in 1999. It wasn't damaged during the war but the train station across street was bombed the whole  area was damaged but the cathedral, It is  beautiful.

WILD TURKEYS

Remember on July 14 on my blog I showed the tiny turkey that come and eat bird seed in my son's yard. This is how much they have grown since then. They come every morning at 730 AM to eat what the birds have wasted. There around   16 or 17. of them.

CRIPPLED WOMAN BLOCK 25

The woman had been crippled for 18 years. Bent over at the waist, unable to look up at Jesus.Jesus placed his hands on the crippled woman and told her that she was free from whatever deformed her body. She was able to stand up and look Jesus in the eye. She praised God for curing her.

WOMEN OF THE BIBLE

This is Delilah Block 22 She had Samson hair cut by the Philistines while he slept.

Shiprah & Puah Block 23  were mid wives  and were told to kill all the male babies when they were born.They refused to do so.
Block 24

Dorcas/ Tabitha she made clothing for the poor. She became sick and died. and Peter knelt down and prayed and told her to rise and she opened her eyes and sat up. The weeping women were praising God for the miracle.

AUGUST

 

I got a new sewing machine but have been so busy canning and freezing  vegetables from the garden haven't only sewed one block. in the month of JULY  I have froze 38 cups of broccoli,65 cups of carrots,60 cups of broccoli and carrots,24 cups of green beans, 7 cups of yellow beans and 8 1/2 cups of mixed beans. Canned
51 pt & 20 qt of green beans and  31 pt & 21 qt of yellow beans. Now next will be Red Kidney beans  and then I hope a lot of tomatoes.
