WOMEN OF THE BIBLE

 I started to piece this  in March . QuiltCorneronline.com provided it by Stitch'n Tree Quilts.Click on pictures to see all the details of this. I loved making this  and reading about each  woman,

Every month I made a block  some 10 1/2 and  15 1/2 blocks. It ended in  November . I have 3 borders to add to it yet. What a experience it was. All made from scraps.

Every day in December I had to make 4 patch, pin wheel, flying geese blocks to put it together.It took me all of December to put this together all instructions were great,telling how to press each seam.

MY BIRTHDAY

I had a wonderful birthday this year. Dick took me to Red Lobster for my clam dinner the day before my birthday and for Breakfast on my birthday he took me to Huddles for breakfast and lunch at Arby' and Elaine had my favorite Taco Salad Dinner so I did not cook or wash dishes all day.

Then I got gift certificates I could not  believe.  Walmart  from Clark, Jo Ann from Jared, Walmart from Justin, Red Lobster from Eric and a pottery bowl from Natalyn that she made  herself. Beautiful Green that will look great in my sewing room. Now just think of all the shopping I will do.

OHIO BROCCOLI IN DECEMBER

My son picked this broccoli December 17, 2015. It is just as fresh as summer.

  We have had beautiful sun  and warm days here in Ohio. Eric could not believe it. He found this on a plant he had not  pulled up and threw away.

IRON SKILLET

This skillet my mom used to fry an egg in when I was sick so I would eat it.

  Have an egg laying in skillet so you can see how small it is.

 This is the bottom of it. Probably over 80 years old,

 You can see it has a patent  number on it and it is made in USA not China.

Zipper Pouch

This is a class I took  on how to  make a zipper pouch. My check book cover I made too.

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS CACTUS

I have 4 plants blooming this year. Dick took and  split the plant up into 4 pots.

  They were at their peek for Thanksgiving, so don't know why we call them Christmas  Cactus?

ELIZABETH BLOCK 39

A angel  appeared to Elizabeth's husband and said Elizabeth would have a son. He was named John The Baptist the prophet  paving the way for Jesus Christ., who changed the world.

DRIED FLOWER ARRANGEMENT IN A FRAME

  I enter this dried flower arrangement in The Fall Region 14 Ohio Association of Garden Clubs Meeting

  

 I had fun making it, I have it on the wall in my sewing room

  And here I won First Place. Was so excited.

Remember how I got behind in my BOM runners this summer when I was canning. This is July.

Block 36 Menstruating  Woman  touched Jesus shawl and was healed.

Block 37 Timothy mother Eunice and Grandmother Lois made sure Timothy learned about God, 

 Block 38 Syro-Phoenician Woman ask Jesus to have mercy on me for my daughter is possessed by a demon.Jesus said O woman great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.

Here it is all done with those 1 1/2 squares.. It was fun to make with all those bright colors.Click on picture and see how I quilted it. Eric my son loved it and he took it home with him to enjoy.

NOVEMBER NEWS

I am going to the 2015 Fall Quilting and Crafting Retreat at Round Lake Christian Camp  sponsored

by  Parkview Church. There are 20 Classes  offered and I  signed up for 8. So I will be learning a lot of new things and of course I can sit in on other classes too. This  will be a fun time of sewing. It is always the first week end in November  and this year we have an extra day added on. I look forward to seeing all   my sewing friends I have made  in past years.

BEAUTIFUL RED MAPLE TREE

This is the most beautiful red leaf tree I have ever seen. There are two trees in the yard at the house where we took the picture.  So red it is unbelievable how beautiful it is.

  This is full size picture of how it looks but the close up pictures shows the beauty of it.

FALL DRIED FLOWER ARRANGEMENT

  I went to Rittman Library and took a class on dried flowers. You could choose a square basket or and rectangle basket I choose the rectangle and ended up with this great design. I  used pink and red  for my colors. It smells great too.

CORN PLANT

 This plant is 23 years old a real estate lady gave it to Eric when he bought his house it bloomed for the first time last year. and it bloomed again this year  It smells wonderful  would love to have perfume from it.  The sweet  fragrance  smells up the whole house.

Adulterer Block 35

 An adulterer  in Rome was stoned to death but The Pharisees knew Jesus would not be able to respond to the question of adultery without breaking Roman law . Jesus said Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her. One by one they all walked  away. Jesus turned to the woman and said,   Go and do not sin again .

QUEEN OF SHEBA BLOCK 34

You will have to click on the picture to see the design of the material. The queen brought gifts to Solomon's temple gold, spices, precious stones and wood for King Solomon's Temple.

CAT FISH SANDWICH

Eric, my son, took us to Gasoline Alley in Bath, Ohio and I choose the Cat Fish Sandwich.

This is a unusual place. They have license plates, gas pumps, soap box derby car, bicycles hanging from ceiling, Pictures of   TV and movie Stars ,good year blimp, Gasoline signs .It is very nosy because every one is talking  loud,  and the food is delicious and every table was  taken.   The prices are reasonable. 

 I lifted up the lettuce and tomatoes so you can see how big those fish are. Also look at all the french fries  I  got and  I also got a dish of coleslaw with the dinner. Also a dill pickle. You can have FF or onion rings. They have 57 different kind of sandwiches, soup, salads, pizza, Desserts.

44 inch Musky

You could fish a lifetime and not enjoy the experience my son Clark did when he caught a 44 inch Musky at Austin Lake in Michigan. The fish actually ended up jumping completely out of the water and into the boat. No net was required to land the Musky. This article was in the Trophy Trials magazine in 2013. He  was also in the International  Angler magazine just now about the Crappy he caught this September  for the world Record I showed picture before. Click on picture to see this.

Salome danced  for Herod and he told her to ask for anything she wanted and he would grant it. She ask her mother and asked What shall I ask? Her mother said The Head of John the baptist. She told the king she wanted the head of John the Baptist on a platter. He ordered his solder to do so.
